Welcome to Chierotti Depth Counseling
My name is Jay Chierotti (she/her). I am a depth psychologist, dream work practitioner, and certified counselor. As an artist, writer, singer, and nature lover, I bring a creative and comprehensive lens to each session. I live in the fertile woods of Gig Harbor, WA, and I can work with anyone located within Washington State.
I integrate the foundational ideas of C.G. Jung with contemporary theories to offer a modern, holistic approach to counseling. I believe that our potential for healing and growth comes from both the practical and the imaginal aspects of the psyche.
I currently offer only virtual services. I plan to offer in-person sessions and groups in the near future!
What is Dream Work?
Dream work involves engaging with the symbolic, unconscious content of dreams. Therapeutic dream work can help people recover a sense of purpose, address trauma, and unravel personal complexes by exploring dream imagery, myths, and patterns. Dream work encompasses a variety of modalities and approaches, each offering a unique way of engaging with the unconscious. I work with you to explore different techniques and find the best approach for your needs. Together, we will tailor the process to best support your journey to health and self-awareness. Central to this work is the concept of archetypes—universal, recurring symbols or themes that can shed light on the hidden aspects of our inner world. Some also call this “shadow work.”
What are Dream Groups?

Dream groups are a form of group counseling that provides a valuable space for sharing and exploring dreams within a supportive community. Participants learn from each other’s reflections by sharing unique perspectives and fostering support, connection, and a deeper understanding of the psyche. I draw on my expertise to guide the group, structuring each session to create a safe, focused space for exploration and discovery.
